Graphic Design

Brand guidelines do not magically design the brochure.

Or the pitch deck.

Or the lead magnet.

Or the campaign.

Or the presentation that has been quietly offending everyone since 2023.

A visual identity gives your business a language.

Somebody still has to speak it.

We turn established brand identities into brochures, presentations, PDFs, campaign assets, resources, social graphics + print collateral that do their job + still look recognisably like you.

Brand Identity creates the system.
Graphic Design puts it to work.

Some brands we've put to work

Your brand doesn’t live in the brand guidelines.

It lives in everything people actually see.

The brochure they download.

The deck they sit through.

The guide they save.

The campaign they notice.

The thing somebody prints 500 copies of.

That’s where a visual identity becomes recognisable.

Or slowly starts looking like six different businesses.

We make sure it’s the first one.

Some things are better seen.

The proof is rather visual.

Something else

If it needs designing, show us.

If it sits within our expertise, we’ll scope the project around what it actually needs.

Pretty isn’t enough.

Although, for the record, we are very much in favour of pretty.

Good design makes a business easier to recognise, understand + remember.

You’d recognise a friend’s handwriting before you’d read a single word.

A strong visual identity starts to do the same.

Oh. That’s them.

That accumulated familiarity? Recognition Capital.

But design also tells somebody what matters, what belongs together + where to look next.

Because sometimes the words are perfectly good.

They’ve just all been given the same visual volume.

Hierarchy. Spacing. Structure. Contrast.

The tiny decisions nobody notices. Until they’re wrong.

Good design helps the information do its job.

The bit you don’t see is doing quite a lot of the work.

Good design is a series of decisions disguised as something that looks effortless.

Before anything looks polished, we’re working out what deserves attention, what can be quieter + where the eye should go next.

Then we make it look bloody good.

01 — Understand

The business, the audience + what this particular thing actually needs to achieve.

02 — Interpret

How your existing visual identity should behave here.

Because applying a brand well doesn’t mean repeating the same layout everywhere.

03 — Structure

The hierarchy, flow + journey through the information.

What comes first? What supports it? What can wait?

04 — Create

Typography. Composition. Imagery. Graphics. Spacing.

And approximately 400 tiny decisions nobody will ever ask us about.

05 — Refine

You review. We refine. Then we prepare the right files for wherever the work is actually going.

Need the words too?

Excellent. We do those as well.

Sometimes you arrive with approved copy + simply need it designed.

Sometimes you arrive with:

“We need a brochure.”

And that is currently the entire brief.

Also fine.

Where you need both, Copywriting + Graphic Design can be developed together.

Because the words shouldn’t be poured into boxes.

And the boxes shouldn’t dictate the argument.

One brief. One objective. One joined-up creative process.

We’ll work out what it needs to say + make it look bloody good too.

A lot to say.

Without looking like a lot to read.

Ferment Academia brings together fermentation, food culture + community in an international residential event.

With a full programme, facilitators, travel, accommodation + practical details to communicate, the challenge was giving everything the right amount of attention.

We used hierarchy, pacing, typography + imagery to make it easy to move through without losing the character of the event.

“Natty did a brilliant job coming up with our logo, brochure and incredible assets for socials. I loved working with her, she brings a lot to the table and was extremely helpful in realising our vision for Ferment Academia.”

The things you may still be wondering.

Your brand shouldn’t stop being your brand when somebody opens the PDF.

Or the brochure.

Or the deck.

Or the thing you printed 500 copies of.

You already have the visual language.

Let’s make something with it.

Tell us what you need designed.

A brochure. A presentation. A lead magnet. A campaign.

Something going to print.

Or something currently held together by Canva + determination.

Relevant, irrelevant, slightly half-formed. All welcome.

You don’t need to arrive with a creative brief.

That is quite literally part of the job.

No need to make the creative brief look pretty before sending it.

That would be a slightly unfair requirement for a Graphic Design enquiry.
