Meet Natty

Founder + Strategic Director of The Digital Hive Studio · Creator of The Digital Hive Framework™ + Neurodivergent Marketing™
I have a slight problem with leaving ideas alone.
A question about a website becomes a question about positioning. SEO makes me wonder what happens when somebody actually arrives. A content problem sends me backwards into the offer.
And somewhere in the middle of all that, I've probably opened a new Notes document for an idea that absolutely did not need to become another project.
It usually does.
I've spent the past 6+ years working across strategy, brand, websites, copy, content, search + digital business — and learning that marketing gets much more interesting when you stop treating all those things as separate.
Because most businesses don't need more marketing.
They need fewer contradictions.

I tend to notice what else is going on.
Give me one marketing problem and there is a fairly good chance I'll start asking questions about something that appears to have absolutely nothing to do with it.
At first.
A website that feels dated might actually be reflecting positioning the business outgrew two years ago.
Content can be beautifully produced and still struggle because nobody has decided what the business wants to become known for.
More traffic sounds wonderful until you realise the people already arriving aren't quite sure what they're looking at.
That's the bit of marketing I'm interested in.
The relationships between the decisions.
Because customers don't separate your strategy from your website, your brand from your copy or your Instagram from what happens when they enquire.
They just experience you.
People don't experience your strategy. They experience the evidence that it exists.
And eventually, that way of thinking became the way we work at The Digital Hive.
Some ideas got too big for my Notes app.
THE DIGITAL HIVE FRAMEWORK™
I kept seeing good businesses become disconnected in surprisingly sensible ways.
The messaging changed. The offers evolved. The website caught up with one version of the business while the content moved onto another.
Every decision made sense. Just not necessarily together.
That pattern became The Digital Hive Framework™ — six connected lenses for seeing what’s working, where things have drifted + what actually needs attention.
The symptom appears in one place. The cause may live somewhere else entirely.
NEURODIVERGENT MARKETING™
My late ADHD diagnosis explained quite a lot about the marketer I already was — including why “just be consistent”had always struck me as spectacularly unhelpful advice.
Neurodivergent Marketing™ grew from a bigger question:
Does the marketing actually work for the human expected to use it?
It considers cognitive load, executive function, communication + capacity without lowering the commercial bar.
Your brain shouldn’t have to be the marketing system.
HUMAN-FIRST MARKETING
I love strategy, psychology, AI, search + clever systems.
I’m just not interested in becoming so good at optimising marketing that we forget there’s still a person on either side of it.
Human-First Marketing is the philosophy underneath my work: use the technology, understand the psychology + build the systems.
Just remember who they’re supposed to serve.
We're borrowing people's attention. I think we should probably make it worth their while.
I've worked in enough corners of marketing to stop believing they're separate.
Over the past 6+ years, my work has moved across marketing strategy, social media, content, websites, brand, copy, search + digital business.
I've trained thousands of entrepreneurs, coached founders + brands, built strategies, websites + offers, spoken to business communities and worked alongside businesses as they've grown, repositioned + changed direction.
Today, I lead the strategy, copywriting + creative direction across The Digital Hive Studio, working alongside our team across design, content, operations + implementation.
That breadth is deliberate.
The longer I worked inside individual marketing disciplines, the less interested I became in pretending their boundaries were real.
They're useful for organising an agency.
Your customer couldn't care less.
They simply experience whether the business makes sense.
Apparently, other people noticed too.
Recognition
My work as a marketer + founder has received national + international recognition, including:
Invited and recognised for leadership & contribution of women in business, women in leadership + neurodiversity:
Give me a microphone + an interesting question.
Speaking + Media
I'm particularly interested in conversations where marketing collides with the way people actually think, behave, work + build businesses.
My speaking + media topics include connected marketing, Neurodivergent Marketing™, ADHD + entrepreneurship, Human-First Marketing, founder-led visibility, AI + search, women in business + leadership.
I'm available for keynotes, panels, podcasts, workshops, webinars + selected expert commentary.
A home for the thoughts that won't leave me alone.
The Hive Mind
I have approximately 7,482 thoughts about marketing at any given moment.
The Hive Mind gives some of them somewhere useful to go.
It's where I write about connected marketing, buyer psychology, AI + search, neurodivergence, websites, content, business systems + the way people make decisions.
And the questions I think deserve something better than another “five tips for better engagement” article.
Because we're entering a very strange era of marketing.
Almost anybody can produce content now.
Having something worth saying becomes the advantage.
Want my brain on your business?
I remain closely involved in the strategy, copy + creative direction of our client work at The Digital Hive Studio.
Sometimes that means one focused strategic session.
Sometimes we're building the brand or website.
Sometimes we're untangling a much wider marketing problem.
And sometimes we're alongside a business for much longer, making sure all those moving pieces continue to belong to the same business.
You don't need to work out which service you need before you contact us.
In fact, I'd rather you didn't contort your problem into one of our service names just to fill in the form correctly.
Tell us what's happening.
We'll work out where it makes sense to start.
